Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Operator / Water Systems Operator
Location: Aiea, HI
Duration: 10+ months Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Pay Range: $30 - 37/hr

About the Role

As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of a critical water treatment system.
You'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to perform tasks such as:

• Operation and Maintenance: Overseeing the daily operations of water treatment and distribution systems, including wells, pumps, filtration plants, and distribution networks.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identifying and resolving issues with water treatment systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Recording key performance indicators and generating reports to monitor system performance.
• Compliance: Adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as US Navy guidelines.
• Safety: Prioritizing safety practices and ensuring a safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in water treatment plant operations or related field.
• Certification: Current Hawaii Water Treatment Plant Operator (WTPO) Certification (Grade 1 or higher).
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
