Your tasks
- The Training Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of all technical documentation, while also tracking and coordinating production employee training and development.
- Creates, writes, and maintains comprehensive technical documents such as SOPs, work instructions, process guidelines, MasterCard’s, manuals, and other critical documents that align with operational and quality standards.
- Leads the development, updating, and ongoing maintenance of MasterCard’s for Extrusion, Molding, and PA&F processes.
- Develops and documents Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring proper recording and traceability of all changes.
- Spearheads change management processes, ensuring all engineering, process, or product changes are documented, approved, and integrated into manufacturing workflows.
- Works with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions during change implementations and maintains the accuracy of technical documents.
- Ensures strict document control practices, with proper versioning, access control, and security.
- Maintains an organized and up-to-date repository for all technical documentation, supporting internal audits and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintains and updates skills matrices for production employees to ensure accurate tracking of competencies.
- Establishes and manages relationships with external training vendors, including researching and obtaining quotations for most cost-effective options in partnership with the BUA Training & Development Director.
- Schedules and coordinates training sessions for production employees, ensuring alignment with production and departmental needs.
- Completes and submits reports documenting training results and progress to the Human Resources and other stakeholders.
- Assists internal subject matter experts with the design, delivery, evaluation, and retention of records of internal training programs.
- Manages logistics for training sessions, including time, location, and required materials.
- Develops systems to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all training-related documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Supports employee onboarding processes by providing initial training and skills assessments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- Experience in technical writing, particularly in manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong expertise in creating, managing, and maintaining technical documentation, including MasterCard’s and engineering change documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present training materials effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and levels within the organization.
- Skilled in data tracking, report creation, and analyzing training metrics for decision-making.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training program development.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate a multi-shift operation.
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in technical writing and/or training coordination.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
- Exposure to machine noise.
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
- Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
- Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
- This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
