Supervisor - Radiation Therapy

In this role you will:

• Provide treatments and Simulations for Patients in accordance with Physicians Orders
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives for the radiation therapists.
• Develop procedures and training for therapists on new equipment and treatments.
• Schedules daily staffing for the simulators and accelerators and maintains monthly schedules
• Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, discipline
• Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems.
• Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the radiation therapists
• Assist with ensuring adequate equipment and supplies for the radiation oncology department.
• Supervise overall operations and processes and provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist
• Review prescriptions and other treatment information
• communicating basic information between the MD and the patient
• Prepare equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices; and maintaining records, reports, and files.
• Assist in dosimetry procedures and tumor localization.

We require:

• 5 Years EXP in a supervisory role Radiation Oncology
• Extensive Charge capture and Radiation Coding knowledge
• ARRT Certified
• ASRT- NYS DOH License Active,
• Graduation from an AMA approved radiation therapy program.
• NYS license as a radiation therapy technologist
• ARRT registration or current eligibility for ARRT registration is required.

Salary Up to 140k
