Associate & Senior Associate SRE Engineer

Team: Enterprise Application Support (EAS)

Locations: Dallas, TX | Tampa, FL | Boston, MA | Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday + 1 floating day per team).

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate to Senior Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Enterprise Application Support (EAS) team. This team is responsible for Equity Clearing & Settlement operations, handling 24/7 global support with a focus on observability, batch processing, and mainframe-heavy environments (DB2).

This role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in high-paced, mission-critical environments. You will be responsible for maintaining system reliability, automating processes, managing incidents, and ensuring seamless operation across distributed and legacy technologies .

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the observability and reliability of equity clearing and settlement systems.
  • Support batch processing and mainframe (DB2) environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a 24/7 global operations setting.
  • Develop and enhance automation scripts using Python, Java, or Go.
  • Work with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to modernize infrastructure.
  • Implement and optimize monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and ITSI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency and performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or a related field. (Senior role will require 4+ years of experience)
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java.
  • Experience with mainframe systems (DB2) is a huge plus.
  • Exposure to distributed and legacy technologies (MQ, Red Hat Linux) is nice to have.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring systems (Splunk, Dynatrace, ITSI).
  • Knowledge of incident management best practices.
  • Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow for ticketing, or similar systems, and workflow management.
