Job Description

Rule breakers beware with you on our Public Safety Team. You will spend the summer patrolling Six Flags Great Adventure Resort and conducting security screenings of guest, employees, vendors. You will maintain a safe and secure environment all while securing valuable law experience and rewarding benefits.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Interacting with employees, guests, and vendors providing directions and assistance.
  • Protecting employees, guests, and company property.
  • Enforcing resort policies.
  • Controlling park access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for associates, vendors, and contractors.
  • Patrolling and inspecting assigned areas of the resort for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalism.
  • Keeping unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.
  • Greeting and screening those entering through metal detection and checking bags for prohibited items.
  • Rapidly responding to active alarms, first aid, and other emergency situations.
  • Writing detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security records.
  • Escorting guests and associates as needed for assistance and protection.

  • In compliance with the Six Flags Great Adventure Resort Handbook and Public Safety policy and procedures.

What You Will Need

  • Positive attitude and a smile.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Able to lift and/or carry moderately heavy loads.
  • Physical qualifications to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Previous Law Enforcement, Public Safety, or Security related experience is preferred.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
