Duties: You will be responsible for: (1) Performing as the lead SAP Basis administrator with overall ownership for the enterprise design, maintenance, and future technical direction of the SAP landscape and infrastructure; (2) Acting as the resident Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all things related to SAP BASIS architecture, the SAP landscape, SAP integration(s), SAP interface(s), and integration with non-SAP technologies throughout the IT enterprise; (3) Leading SAP BASIS administration (performance monitoring/performance tuning, installs/upgrades problem/technical resolution, software patching, applications/systems support, etc.); (4) SAP capacity planning and leading the effort regarding SAP high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery; (5) Guiding and leading business/functional, operations and infrastructure, development and database teams; (6) Evangelizing and advocating for future technology direction, selection, implementation, as well as selection and implementation of best practices with regard to continuous improvement and process maturity optimization; (7) Oversight and project management of critical initiatives.
Required:
Non-consultants are preferred for this role---target candidates work as full-time employees in a corporations IT deparment, not as employees of consulting firms.
Must have 3 or more years of strong and current hands-on SAP Basis from a small to medium sized IT department with hands-on experience with SAP BASIS administration including installations, configurations, and maintenance.
Candidates with a career consulting or computer vendor career track record are not a good fit for this role and need. Candidates who have worked as corporate IT department employees are the correct position and profile fit for this role.
Must have strong and current skills with Windows platform operating systems including performance analysis and debugging.
Must have strong and current skill in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR).
Must have EXCELLENT communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills with a flair for relationship building and relationship management to the executive level.
