Overview:

In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities:

The Roustabout B will report to the Foreman and will support oilfield operations through assembly or repair. The Roustabout will work with equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and high-pressure power washing equipment.

Performs a variety of duties relative to production and storage, such as:

  • Secure and safely transport equipment according to DOT regulations
  • Assisting in selecting and preparing well sites and roads to proposed well sites
  • Assisting in selecting well site as to accessibility and workability
  • Assisting in selecting and considering right-of-way, best route, and land conditions
  • Helping surveyors by cutting brush, holding rods, etc.
  • Laying temporary water and gas lines to new drilling sites
  • Gaging open flow of well using manometer
  • Testing open flow and rock pressure
  • Assisting in conducting special back pressure tests on wells using spring gauge and dead weight
  • Entering readings on test records
  • Inspecting wells for leaks, repairing leaks, reconditioning well heads
  • Assisting Clean Out Man in reworking wells using cable tools, erecting, tearing down runway and reinstalling after week is reworked, loading, and unloading pipe, pulling and running casing and pipe
  • Helping Bailing Machine Operator

Performs variety of duties relative to operation and maintenance of pipelines, such as:

  • Assisting in constructing and replacing new and existing lines and/or repairing leaks
  • Manually transporting tools and/or materials to locations inaccessible to motor vehicles
  • Swamping for equipment operators
  • Digging and backfilling ditches and bell holes
  • Operating valves and/or regulating equipment to blow down lines
  • Rerouting flow and/or Changing pressure
  • Installing sleeves, leak clamps, saddles, etc.
  • Removing old line, stringing pipe joints, coating, and wrapping pipe and lowering in
  • Assisting welders, grinding beads, and lining up pipe using clamps
  • Operating, inspecting, and lubricating valves
  • Assisting in installing, operating, and maintaining dehydrators, methanol injectors and gas separators and drips.
  • Removing fluid from lines by blowing drips and syphons and locating and removing freezes in lines
  • Maintaining public relations with farmers, landowners, consumers, contractors, and utility people
  • Making taps on pipelines, patrolling pipelines, and using explosimeter to locate leaks and preparing leak reports
  • Walking lines in mountainous terrain making visual inspection for landslides, washouts, and leakage
  • Informing farmers, and contractors of existing line depth and location to prevent damage, and reporting conditions found to supervisor
  • Assisting Corrosion Technician in field testing, installing, operating, and maintaining anodes, rectifiers and ground beds
  • Installing cathodic protection by cad welding anodes on pipelines

Performs a variety of duties relative to operation and maintenance of compressor stations, such as:

  • Oiling, greasing, and cleaning equipment
  • Assisting in dismantling, and repairing and overhauling gas compressors and auxiliary compressor station and/or extraction plant equipment
  • Performing good housekeeping activities such as cleaning, removing oil and dirt from equipment and piping, washing windows and yard maintenance, assisting in erecting buildings, pouring concrete, installing new equipment, and erecting fences and other facilities.

Performs various measurement activities, such as:

  • Changing gas measurement charts, entering explanation of meter conditions or questionable items on charts
  • Assisting in installing and/or repairing meters and regulators
  • Reading consumer meters and taking readings on odorizers

Performs such activities as:

  • Painting, masonry, and carpentry to maintain structures such as warehouses, measuring stations, valve settings, road gates, fences, fence stiles, pipeline markers, etc.
  • Operating Equipment such as power winch, pneumatic tools, tapping machine, and water pumps
  • Using hand tools such as picks, shovels, pipe, ratchet wrenches, dies, pipe cutters, etc.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of oil and gas operations experience required
  • Experience working as a laborer, including proficiency with all types of tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.
  • Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, and normally involves physically getting into and out of equipment using vertically mounted ladders up to and including 10 or more in height
  • Visually seeing driving operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)
  • Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing, and sitting
  • Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work
  • Working at elevated heights
  • Lifting 75 lb. or more objects occasionally
  • Carrying 75 lb. or more objects occasionally
  • Adapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to sometimes adverse weather conditions
  • Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
