Job Description
As an Associate Director at Junapr, you will play a leadership role within our team, contributing to client communication strategy and leading tactical implementation. This client-facing position involves strategic planning, messaging, media relations, social media, and marketing. You will manage accounts, be budget-conscious, and mentor staff. Responsibilities include fostering a collaborative work environment, advising junior staff, cultivating client relationships, overseeing project management, tracking client metrics, ensuring high-quality deliverables, leading client meetings, and developing media outreach strategies. The associate director also supports account and team management, acting as the lead in the absence of the team director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, preferably within an agency environment.
Proven experience in account management and strategic planning.
Demonstrated success in media relations and social media management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in using PR software (e.g., Muckrack) and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Slack).
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and clients.
Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Experience in mentoring and managing junior team members.
Ability to lead client calls and meetings confidently and effectively.
Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic agency environment.
Strong commitment to exceeding client expectations and delivering high-quality work.

Please Note: This position involves working with a variety of CPG and food brands. Candidates with specific dietary restrictions may find this role challenging due to the nature of the products and client interactions.
This is a hybrid position, working a minimum of two days from Junapr’s office in Charlotte, Vermont, and three days remotely (which are sometimes on-site with clients).
Salary range: $70K to $95K per year + benefits.
