Job Description: Psych Staff Nurse, UHS Binghamton General HospitalUnited Health Services is seeking a Psych Staff Nurse to join our Psych Krembs 5 department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.ShiftAll ShiftsHours Per Week: 40Salary Range: $37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience.Overview**Up to $10k Sign-On Bonus**Our Behavioral Health Unit is a team orientated unit working together to make a positive impact on our patients. Our dynamic, tenured team works to assess, monitor, and educate patients and their families on treatments and medications for mental illness. You will be an integral part of a team of Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Mental Health Technicians, Rehabilitation Staff, and Physicians.QualificationsSchedule: 8 hour shifts; 7AM-3PM; 3PM – 11 PM; 11PM – 7 AM. Every other weekend, every other holidayEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Assessing and evaluating patients to determine symptoms and risk factors Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed Providing patient education and helping with patient advocacy Administering medications as prescribed by physician Providing detailed documentation for careQualifications: A valid RN license Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Previous experience in behavioral health preferredEducation/ExperienceMinimum Required:A graduate of an accredited school of NursingPreferred:Bachelor of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicense/CertificationMinimum Required:Current NYS RN LicensePreferred:Professional certification in a related nursing specialtyRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.About United Health ServicesUnited Health Services is a not-for-profit healthcare system serving more than 500,000 people in Upstate New York’s Southern Tier region.
