Location: Valley Presbyterian Hospital, 15107 Vanowen St, Van Nuys, CA 91405
Pay Rate: $42/hr. (Regular) | $63/hr. (OT)
Estimated Gross per Shift: $588
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced GI Tech to join our team at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gastrointestinal procedures, assisting physicians and nursing staff in endoscopic procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures
• Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment, ensuring proper sterilization
• Monitor patient vitals and provide support before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized procedure room
• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety protocols
• Document procedures accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
• Certified GI Tech (Preferred but not always required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a GI/endoscopy setting
• Knowledge of endoscopic instruments and sterilization techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• BLS certification required
• Meditech charting experience
