Skills for Chicagoland's Future

Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area.

To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Being a reliable, discreet, and trustworthy presence in the family home, maintaining confidentiality regarding personal matters

Candidate Profile

Ensuring the safety and well-being of children by supervising them, managing activities, and providing guidance.
Helping children with bathroom breaks, changing diapers for younger kids, and ensuring they stay clean.
Offering flexible hours to suit parents' schedules and being dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance.
