Job Title: Middle and Upper School Performance Music Coordinator
Job Description
All Saints’ Episcopal School seeks a dynamic Performance Music Coordinator to manage the overall program of instrumental music for the school. This role focuses on organizing and managing musical group performances, supporting student musicians, and ensuring the program aligns with school, district, and state requirements. The coordinator will create opportunities for student engagement in music, both in curricular and extracurricular settings, and facilitate performances that showcase student talent and growth. They will provide students with the opportunity to participate in extracurricular music activities and ensure compliance with all TAPPS requirements. Plan activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and refine curriculum to enhance student learning in music performance, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
Coordinate and oversee Middle and Upper Divisions music group performances, including instrumental ensembles, jazz groups, chamber music, and soloists.
Coordinate with Division Heads and Fine Arts Chair on performance schedule, course academic requirements, and Divisional grading policies.
Provide opportunities for music participation in curricular and extracurricular events, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, TAPPS activities, and other School associated activities that require music performances.
Arrange logistics for performances, including transportation, lodging, and meals for off-campus events.
Assess program effectiveness using student achievement data and other evaluative tools, ensuring continuous growth and development.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory and repair schedule of musical instruments and related equipment.
Implement instructional strategies and support diverse learning styles to foster musical growth in students.
Establish and maintain communication with students, parents, and faculty to support program success.
Develop and implement initiatives that align with the overall School and Fine Arts mission and vision of the musical performing arts to expand and enhance the Middle and Upper School music program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; Masters degree preferred
Demonstrate understanding and ability to teach students with multiple learning styles and abilities.
Knowledge of TAPPS policies.
Passionate about working with Middle and Upper school students, grades 6-12.
