Location: Remote and DMV region

Job Description: The DMV Music Alliance is looking for several individuals to create content, engage with the community, and represent the Alliance to enhance our organization's online presence and promote missions and initiatives.

Team members can choose to work on one or more of the following areas:

• Promotion for the DMV Music Alliance
• Promotion of one or more of our initiatives
• Promotion for one or more community partners
• Promotion for grantees
• Other ideas for promotion and engagement

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging and relevant content for website, social media, and other marketing materials, including
• Interviewing artists and industry professionals
• Research resources, events, leaders, and topics for conversations
• Represent the organization at events and create related content
• Monitor and engage with the online community in a timely and professional manner, respond to comments and messages, and foster meaningful conversations.
• Monitor social media conversations and trends related to the organization, the music industry, and relevant topics.
• Ensure all content and engagement aligns with brand guidelines, is optimized for each platform, and resonates with the target audience.
• Contribute ideas alongside our diverse team as we grow the organization's social media audience, increase followers, and drive engagement.

Requirements:

• Passion for music, knowledge of the music industry, and a strong interest in contributing to the growth and impact of DMV Music Alliance.
• Personable, confident personality for those wanting to interview artists and industry professionals
• Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging and innovative content ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and tone.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively.
