Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Flatbed Delivery in Chester, VA.
Compensation :
- Hourly pay $26.53 - $32.21/hour, based on experience
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
- Two Bonus programs available; paid out every 6 months

- Monday-Friday
- Typically work 4:30am-1:00pm, work until work is completed
- Home every day, no overnights
- Make local 6-8 stops per day, typically in Northern Virginia to Southern North Carolina
- Orientation/Safety Training in Covington, CT; approximately 3 days, all expenses paid
- Must be flexible with work schedule. Responsibilities
- Drive CDL A flatbed to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
- Requires climbing up and/or down the back and side of truck to unstrap and re-strap and re-tarp at each delivery
- Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
- Provide excellent customer service
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers Requirements
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Minimum of 6 months flatbed delivery and load securement experience preferred
- Experience securing pallets and loose steel products using straps and tarps on flatbed trailers with bows and side panels
- Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds without assistance
- Familiar with Smart Drive or other fleet safety technology
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
