Baker Chevrolet Buick, of Coopersville is looking for an experienced Automotive Diesel/Transmission Technician. We offer some of the highest earning potential in the area with excellent benefits. Our team is continuing to grow and looking for skilled technicians to join our team.

Heavy Line Service Technician Skills and Qualifications:

• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if any additional safety or service work is needed.
• Advise service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
• Document work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road test customer vehicle.
• Attend factory sponsored training classes.
• Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times.
• Adhere to all attendance, punctuality, and time keeping standards.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience minimum.
• GM Factory Certified Preferred
• ASE Certified Preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Team oriented, flexible, focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $ 50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No Weekends

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• ASE Certification (Preferred)
