Job Details We are seeking a skilled Fixed Assets and Property Accountant to join our team, focusing on financial management, fixed assets, and compliance reporting. This role offers the chance to work on impactful projects, collaborate across departments, and support financial operations. Key Responsibilities Accounting: Reconcile balance sheets monthly, post correcting and recurring entries, and ensure accurate GL postings. Record and prepare journal entries for incoming payments (rent, donations, etc.). Assist with Intercompany journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare financial statements with budget-to-actual variance analysis. Manage HUD filings, revenue transactions, and tenant-related financial activities. Resolve accounting discrepancies regularly. Fixed Assets Accounting: Reconcile fixed asset records to the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification and depreciation. Oversee asset additions, disposals, and audit documentation. Conduct regular physical inventory checks. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare financial compliance reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for submission to relevant agencies. Support year-end audits and tax returns. File annual property tax returns. Collaboration and Support: Partner with FP&A, Purchasing, and Development teams on asset-related projects. Support CapEx planning and tracking. Assist in financial statement updates and annual capital/depreciation budgets. Special Projects: Implement and maintain accounting/internal control procedures. Participate in ERP implementation. Take on additional projects as needed. This position is ideal for accounting professionals with experience as property accountants, fixed assets, and compliance reporting.
