Position Summary:
The Financial Specialist III is an integral member of the University Center team. This position is responsible for the administrative and financial support for the University Center and business partnerships (Chartwells, Follett, and Canteen) and student employee administration. This position performs routine, semi-routine and complex duties related to invoices, deposits, chargebacks, commissions, purchases, departmental transfers, reconciliation, and detects and corrects financial errors, generates and manages financial reports and records, and serves as the second reviewer/approver of routine or semi-routine financial transactions. This position provides customer service for staff and customers in an assigned program area to support program financial management. Recommends controls and process improvements and troubleshoots complex financial errors. This position also serves as the student payroll specialist for all student employees in the University Center.
