POSITION TITLE: Financial Empowerment Coach
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Empowerment Coach to join our team, responsible for enhancing the financial capabilities of our participants. The ideal candidate will manage comprehensive financial counseling processes, guiding individuals in improving their savings, reducing debt, building credit scores, creating budgets, and developing financial statements.
This role includes delivering financial literacy education through various platforms, such as workshops, seminars, webinars, and eLearning sessions. The Financial Empowerment Coach will conduct recurring one-on-one coaching sessions with students while also working with entire cohorts throughout each program cycle.
Collaboration is key, as the Financial Empowerment Coach will coordinate with instructors and program coordinators to schedule teaching sessions at optimal times and facilitate group interactions. The position will also involve overseeing grant contracts, ensuring compliance with metrics, and managing the billing process effectively.
The Financial Empowerment Coach will work closely with partners and funders such as LISC and the Department of Commerce, providing necessary technical support and ensuring that results and reporting requirements are met. Strong relationship management skills will be essential in maintaining partnerships and overseeing data entry accuracy in software programs like Salesforce and Excel.
Additionally, the Financial Empowerment Coach will create and maintain thorough participant files and case notes that reflect progress in programs. Ongoing professional development will be encouraged through participation in webinars and training opportunities at local, regional, and national levels.

This role will report to the Career Exploration Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manage the process of financial counseling for the participants who are interested to improve their financial capabilities: increase savings, reduce debts, build credit score, create a budget and develop financial statements.
• Provide financial literacy, housing and business development education through workshops, seminars, webinars, eLearning, etc.
• Conduct recurring one-on-one coaching sessions with students while facilitating group interactions
throughout each program cohort.
•Collaborate with cohort instructors and program coordinators to schedule optimal times for teaching sessions and engage participants effectively.
•Monitor participant progress by pulling students weekly for check-ins and assessments, ensuring personalized support and accountability
•Understanding and manage the grants contracts with focus on the metrics compliance and billing process.
•Work with Partners and Funders such LISC, Department of Commerce, and others providing necessary technical support, and ensuring results and metrics are achieved, as well as providing timely and comprehensive reporting needs.
•Manage relationship with funders and different partners.
•Manage and supervise the data entry on the different software programs, ensuring accuracy, and timeliness. (Salesforce, excel sheets, etc.)
•Create and update accurate files and maintain complete participant case notes that reflect program progress.
•Attend and participate in webinars and trainings locally, regionally, and nationally.

MINIMUM / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated commitment to economic, racial, and social justice and an understanding of the ways institutions and systems hurt communities of color through both conscious and unconscious bias.

•Proficient in Microsoft office and Salesforce.
•Flexibility and adaptability in working with a growing non-profit organization.
•Strong communication, solid financial administrative skills with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and projects.
•Experience in working with collaborative partnerships.
•72 quarter or 48-semester credits at an institution of higher education (official transcript isrequired), OR an Associate’s (or higher) degree (official transcript is required) OR Prior job related experience paid or volunteer with school-age children or student Programs.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS •Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and on weekends.

•Continuation of this position is dependent on the achievement of performance goals and the availability of funding.
WORK LOCATION: ANEW Tukwila Training Center and Satellite locations as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday
REPORTS TO: Career Exploration Program Manager
SALARY This position is paid as an exempt position with a starting salary range of $68,993 - $73,226.66 per year. This position is grant funded and continuation of this position is subject to continuation of funding. The starting salary is based on education and experience as per the below matrix.
BENEFITS
This position is nonexempt position. The person in this position is expected to serve a 90-day probation period. Benefits will not be included until and unless the position is made permanent, which is contingent upon performance evaluation, funding, board direction, and potential re-development of the organization and its training/service delivery models. If the position is more than 30/hours per week, employer paid medical benefits will include medical, dental, and vision benefits. A portion of the medical premium is made by the employee through a pre-tax contribution at time of payroll posting. Employees at 30/hours week or greater qualify for full benefits and pay a pre-tax contribution of $80 per month. Employees who work less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for paid benefits. Additional employer paid benefits include basic life insurance, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay and taxes as required by law.
