Field Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects. Responsibilities will include overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and collaborating with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship and adherence to project plans.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop construction schedules and coordinate resources.
• Assist in surveying, layout, and measurements for construction activities.
• Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to on-site challenges.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including daily quantities and progress updates. Assist in compiling documentation for monthly requisitions.
• Compiling, creating, and tracking submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
• Tracking and updating the project schedule and participating in monthly schedule update meetings with the project owner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering disciplines. Significant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in highway and bridge construction preferred. 
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
