About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its extraordinary cultural institution, which is dedicated to showcasing the work of visionary and self-taught artists. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader, responsible for partnering with the board, staff, and community to shape the future of the museum. This role involves overseeing the development of innovative exhibitions, educational programs, and creative initiatives that reflect the institution's commitment to interdisciplinarity, social justice, and the transformative power of art. The Executive Director will also be tasked with strategic planning, financial management, and fostering strong relationships with supporters and partners to ensure the museum's continued success and long-term sustainability. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a background in art, museum education, arts management, or a related field, with a proven track record of at least ten years in a leadership role within a cultural or educational organization. They should be adept at fundraising, strategic planning, and have the ability to serve as a compelling spokesperson for the institution.
