Position Description
This internship position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of civil engineering within our Loveland, CO office. The Civil Engineering Intern will assist with tasks related to the design and development of land development projects, including grading, drainage analysis, street design, and utility systems.
The role is designed for students or recent graduates seeking to apply their knowledge in a professional setting while working under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating construction documents and engineering plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Support in the preparation of basic grading, drainage, water distribution, and storm drain system designs for land development projects.
  • Conduct basic engineering research and develop special exhibits, constraint maps, and concept layouts.
  • Assist in drafting reports, including Stormwater Management Plans (SWMPs), Drainage Reports, and Utility Reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to support various civil design projects and ensure deliverables meet client and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing or recently completed a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Coursework or project experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in land development and a willingness to learn.
Salary
Salary range for position: $21.50/hr
