Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking a passionate, thoughtful, and creative intern to join our design team for the summer. This role will contribute to the organization’s goals by assisting in creating graphics for social media, email, web, video, merch, print, and research and policy documents, and will work across Everytown, Moms Demand Action, and Students Demand Action.

Applications will be considered until the position is filled.

This paid internship will run through the summer and is limited to 20 hours per week. The start and end dates are flexible.

In this role you will:

• Update existing materials, and create new materials to support Everytown’s digital platforms, research, fundraising campaigns, and field initiatives

• Attend Digital and Creative team meetings and contribute to strategy and brainstorms

• Help the Creative team in managing information and projects throughout the organization

• Execute design within Everytown brand guidelines

• Assist with ad hoc tasks as needed

In this role, you will learn:

• How to manage the design process for multiple projects, multiple formats, and multiple stakeholders in a fast paced, non-profit environment

• Best design and brand practices, including: type, form, color, and composition

• How to work with designers and non-designers

Required Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates
  are encouraged to apply

• A robust portfolio that represents a solid foundation in typography, form, and composition

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud apps, Figma, and major social media platforms

• Solutions-oriented with a knack for creativity and a flexible attitude

• Passion for activism and an interest in the gun violence prevention movement

• Nice to haves: animation, illustration, photography, and video editing skills
