We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Permanent Component Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is vital to the successful design, development, and production of our cutting-edge products. As a Permanent Component Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in defense manufacturing, semiconductors, microelectronics, CAD, schematic capture, and product design to drive our manufacturing processes and product development to new heights. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new products and improve existing ones.
2. Utilize CAD and schematic capture tools to design and develop components and systems.
3. Apply knowledge of semiconductors and microelectronics to optimize manufacturing processes and product performance.
4. Conduct detailed analyses of components and systems to identify potential areas for improvement and implement solutions.
5. Ensure all component designs meet quality, cost, and efficiency standards.
6. Provide expert technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team.
7. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and standards to ensure our manufacturing processes remain competitive.
8. Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to component design and manufacturing processes.
10. Document all work and findings in a concise and clear manner for future reference.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a 4-year degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in defense manufacturing, semiconductors, and microelectronics.
4. Strong proficiency in CAD and schematic capture tools.
5. Demonstrable experience in product design and development.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Proficiency with industry standards and best practices.
10. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
