Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Required to be in uniform, clean and well-groomed. Drives van to loading point and consults customer on furniture to be moved. Gives directions to helpers in moving articles to van. Pads furniture to prevent damage. Operate power and hand tools to accomplish tasks. Drives van to destination and unloads cargo. Services, inspects, and monitors vehicle and equipment and reports equipment conditions to dispatcher.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has potential for direct supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A customer sensitive and professional attitude is mandatory. Valid driver’s license required and driving record to meet or exceed company requirements. Commercial Driver’s License required for Class A Straight trucks are under 26,000 and do not require drivers to have a CDL.

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
