DASMEN Residential is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Property Accountant

Working directly with the Controller within a collaborative work environment, the Bookkeeper/Property Accountant will support corporate accounting and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all aspects of accounting responsibility for 7-8 properties.
  • Assist with all month-end close activities.
  • Interact and following-up with vendors as necessary on our behalf.
  • Properly apply daily cash collections within the accounting system and contact customers as necessary.
  • Research discrepancies and escalate issues to meet deadlines.
  • Be flexible in taking on or switching priorities as necessary to achieve company objectives and goals.
  • Initiate monthly payments for debt service, owner distributions, etc
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvement.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1-3 years of Bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Property Management industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines as well as maintaining excellent customer service satisfaction.
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing processes and requests while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems. Yardi experience a plus.
