Mercedes-Benz Automotive Detailer

Mercedes-Benz Automotive Detailers take pride in preparing luxury vehicles for Sales, Service and our Loan Car Fleet by washing, vacuuming, and restoring interior, exterior, and under-hood cosmetics. Additionally, the Detailer buffs, waxes, shampoos, applies fabric protection and replaces parts such as wiper blades and headlights.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
• Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the products' manufacturer.
• Cleans and conditions vehicle interior, including vacuuming, shampooing, applying fabric/leather treatments, and polishing
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from Automotive Detailing School
• Experience with color sanding and buffing.
• Experience using a high speed buffer.
• Experience with applying ceramic coating.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and other machinery safely.

• Candidates must have a Valid Driver's License, good driving record and submit to drug and background checks with authorization.
• Ability to perform regular job requirements, that are not limited to, frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Availability to work evenings and Saturday
