The Role

JPA is currently searching for an  Account Director  to join JPA Health’s  Life Sciences Marketing  Team. The successful candidate will incorporate healthcare knowledge with creative agency experience, be a self-starter, support proposal development for clients and new business, and serve as day-to-day lead on one or more clients accounts.

This position is a hybrid role reporting to any of our JPA Health offices, located in Boston, NYC. or Washington, D.C., at least 2 days per week in office.

The Responsibilities

  • Managing client accounts, developing strategic marketing plans, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget, and maintaining strong client relationships by acting as the primary point of contact, ultimately driving client growth and profitability.
  • Acting as a liaison between client, outside vendors and, as appropriate, other internal and external audiences (i.e., creative, digital, media, advocacy, medical, editorial, project management) 
  • Overseeing the execution of integrated campaigns including disease awareness, product launches, patient and HCP campaigns, conference management, websites, media asset development, and video production.
  • Developing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with client goals, including campaign concepts, managing budget allocation, statement of work and timelines. 
  • Support new business efforts in partnership with other team members, may include proposal writing and budget oversight with PM team, slide development and attending new business pitches 
  • Proficient in leading client meetings, and providing high-level input on overall account strategy 
  • Demonstrate sound financial management, ensuring profitability of projects, and ensuring team billing, staff utilization and revenue targets are met 

About You

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 – 7 years of agency account management experience in healthcare marketing, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Financial acumen and budget management skills 
  • Direct-to-consumer (DTC) & HCP campaign experience
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and industry trends 
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Veeva Vault
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and as a team
  • Understanding of the changing healthcare environment
  • Detail-orientated, proven critical thinking, and a passion for healthcare

The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $115,000 - $130,000 annually, based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. You may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses. We review compensation annually and evaluate readiness for promotions every quarter.
